Biography

Ádám Perényi was born in 1975. His father, György Perényi Id., is a recognized specialist and instructor, who played a significant role in the Hungarian hairdressing scene in recent decades. During his student years, Ádám had the opportunity to learn the basics of the profession not only from his father, but also from the most outstanding masters of the Hungarian hairdressing profession. After graduating from the Hairdressing School, his father and brother, Jr., started working in the family business on the side of György Perényi.

At the age of eighteen, he traveled to Toronto, where he worked in several barbershops, learning about the needs and styles of different cultures.

 


1998: Based on his own ideas and with his newly acquired experience, he founds the first HAIRPOINT BY PERÉNYI store, and a year and a half later he moved his headquarters to the city center. He does not commit himself to any company, as it has always been an important aspect for him to realize his own ideas independently of others and external control.

1999

Began working as a hair designer for artists signed to Samurai Songs Records, including All 4 Love, Ámokfutók, Picasso Branch, Tabu, Dina, Ricky, West Company, Kozsó, and ZED. His role extended far beyond hairstyling, encompassing full image creation for events, music video productions, concerts, and live performances.

2000

Appointed Executive President of the International Association of Hairdressers (FNE). During this period, he organized numerous charity initiatives, including haircut programs for children in the town of Fót. His social commitment and professional contribution were formally recognised by Count László Károlyi.

2001–2002

Served as the official hair stylist of the iconic LIDÓ nightclub in Budapest. Alongside high profile fashion shows for brands such as FREYWILLE, ORLANDO, GFF, Dolce & Gabbana, and Versace, he also created and produced his own hair shows. His work attracted significant media attention, featuring in leading lifestyle and fashion magazines including Playboy, PS, CKM, FHM, and Pesti Divat, as well as European professional publications that showcased his step by step techniques.

Early 2000s

HAIRPOINT by PERÉNYI emerged as an independent creative team, presenting distinctive collections inspired by contemporary fashion. These collections were regularly featured in professional press and showcased on the main stages of major industry events.

Since 2002

Launched self organised professional trainings, known for their open, direct atmosphere and practical knowledge sharing. Maintained a continuous presence at major Hungarian hairdressing events such as STELLA, BEAUTY, and IPOSZ, appearing both on main stages and in smaller, hands on workshops.

2003

Founded and organised BUDAPEST SALON, at the time Hungary’s largest hairdressing event. The event received extensive national media coverage, with multiple television channels producing dedicated programs and reports.

2004–2008

Created and led the HAJHÁLÓ online hairdressing competition, the first of its kind worldwide. Conceived, founded, and organised by Ádám Perényi, the competition ran successfully for several consecutive years. During this time, he also organised weekly professional club events through FNE and coordinated international study trips to cities such as London and Bologna.

Since 2005

Expanded into professional product distribution in partnership with Beauty and Pharma, representing internationally recognised brands including American Crew, Rusk, Nexxus, and Artech.

2006

Achieved Master Hairdresser qualification and established a professional hairdressing product wholesale business. Became the exclusive Hungarian distributor of PACT, a premium luxury haircare brand.

2007

Participated in the Miss Hungary competition, providing backstage styling services and continuing involvement in national events and professional presentations.

2008

Further expanded the distribution portfolio with Trinity and Broaer. Co founded and co organised the BUDAPEST FASHION NIGHT event series, bridging fashion, hair, and creative industries.

2009

Launched HAIRNET6, the first truly international online hairdressing competition, featuring participants from more than 80 countries and evaluated by a global professional jury.

2010–2012

Organised additional international online competitions in make up, body painting, and hairdressing, with winners representing five continents and over 80 countries.

2013

Founded JFCLUB with the mission of preserving the spirit, heritage, and classic values of Hungarian hairdressing.

2014

Initiated a nationwide free haircut program for young patients supported by the Foundation for Children with Cancer, held at a major beauty fair in Millenáris Park. Actively participated in JFCLUB events and served as a board member of MOSZI.

2015

Organised a JFCLUB charity day at Symbol Budapest, where proceeds were dedicated to financing wig production from donated hair for those in need.

In 2016,

he married the most beautiful woman in the world and his old dream came true: the PERÉNYI LUXURY BEAUTY CENTER BUDA, which was opened on Kolosy tér without any compromises, in accordance with the original idea, which is nothing but the highest possible level of service to the guests, which unique, as the master works alone without any help or assistance, focusing only on the guest. The unique repertoire is complemented by special luxury cosmetics and exclusive medical-cosmetic services in the field of body contouring and skin rejuvenation. He married the most beautiful woman in the world in December.

From 2017

Entered a new chapter of life with the birth of his son, Nimród. Master level services became available for limited periods at the Buda salon.

The global pandemic brought an unexpected pause and reflection.

2021

Welcomed his second son, Zénó Perényi, completing family harmony.

Chose early retirement from large scale industry involvement. After nearly three decades of an intensive career, he now works alone in a uniquely intimate setting defined by one principle: only me and my guest.

2024

A new chapter begins in a new location—marking the start of a fresh life journey in what he considers the most inspiring place in the world.

In 2026, a new era begins. Relocating to Mauritius marks the start of an exciting chapter focused on building a brand entirely from the ground up. This fresh vision combines craftsmanship, experience, and innovation, with a strong international outlook. This step represents not just a change of location, but the creation of a modern, borderless brand designed for both personal connection and global reach.
